Response to Wednesday Writing Prompt

Last Wednesday I gave the writing prompt: Hunkered down against. . .

Here is my brief response to the prompt. What did you come up with?

Hunkered down against the brick wall he stayed in the shadows and stared across the street at the building. This was the third night in a row he huddled in his leather jacket against the bite of the winter wind and waited for the lights to go out. Then he would go dumpster diving.

Hunkered down against the small stonewall, Sarah tugged her hat lower and her collar higher against the whipping wind and the falling snow. For two hours she had wandered through the woods, unable to find her way back to the cottage. Why had she run away from the heat of the wood stove for this icy blast? If she survived this latest folly, she would need to control her temper much better in the future. But first she had to make it back.

J.Parris -

That was great. Love the question because it made me wonder why.
