Friday's Writing Prompt: She sat along. . .
Have fun and remember to share as little or as much as you want. Make it fun and hook your reader.
Speaking of reading, I hope you are enjoying reading Ceri Hebert's Sweet Forever. Don't forget Ceri's interview will be posted on Sunday so stop by and ask her some questions or tell her what you liked about her story.

She sat along side Josh and watched the woman canter the big bay around the ring and head for the brightly colored fence. She hardly realized she gripped Josh’s knee in anticipation of the horse’s powerful leap until Josh gently pried her fingers loose.
“Sorry,” she whispered but didn’t look at him. She couldn’t take her eyes off the animal who cleared the top rail with inches to spare. The rider reined the horse to the left and they headed for the water jump.
“He’s spectacular,” she sighed and had such a longing, a deep down in her gut longing to ride the horse. No one else should’ve been on his back but her.
“Spectacular,” Josh agreed.
She glanced over at him and was slightly disturbed to find he wasn’t watching the horse at all. His hazel gaze was on her face and the longing she felt for the horse was mirrored in his own eyes.
How did she miss it? Was it always there? For a long moment she returned his look, puzzled by the surprise she felt. It was pleasant and unexpected. More than pleasant, she thought.
“The horse.” Josh said lowly. “Look at the horse, Stasia.”
“Yeah.” Reluctantly she returned her attention to the animal who was gathering himself up for the next leap, his muscles gleaming under the sun. He was a beauty and she was hers. If she would accept Ty Sullivan’s offer of marriage.

Love the ending line. Makes me want to find out if she does or doesn't accept his offer.
Nicely done!
