The words on the page. . .Writing Prompt

Tuesday's Writing Prompt

So I was scrambling around this morning and almost forgot to post a writing prompt, but here it is.

Prompt: The words on the page. . .

Don't forget to grab the reader's attention. Enjoy and have fun with it! I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

The words on the page turned her stomach. How in God's name was she going to explain this one to Travis? She'd promised she wouldn't get in touch with her brother, but she'd gone back on her word and now her mother was back in her life.

"...just a little money to get me through." the letter said. A little money? What, did her mother think she had tons of it just hanging around?

Or maybe she thought she could just ask Sadie or Travis for a loan.

Hell no. She could not admit to Travis that she'd talked to Storm and Storm had sold her out to their mother. That would devastate the thin thread of trust and love that was taking root between them.

But not giving into her mother's request could cause more damage.

Ok- I'm intrigued.

I want to know what happened with the mom. And how could it do more damage if she didn't give her mom money.

Great hook.
