Foods you detested most?
What foods did you detest the most as a kid? Why?
Do you still detest them? Have you even tried them?
What does this have to do with writing? Well, you know it does so why even ask such a silly question? :-)
Besides sharing the answers to the above questions, what I want us to do is pick on of those nasty foods and describe it. Tell us what it looked like, how it smelled, tasted.
What exactly, in a very visual way, made you turn up your nose every time you saw this disgusting food on your plate?
Look forward to seeing your least favorite/most detested food descriptions.

I hated green beans out of can. Still do. They tasted like vomit, and their texture was like rubber.
Ew!
Green beans and vomit. Now that is a real image. Thanks!
Personally, it was scalloped potatoes that did me in. That crispy top texture on the top when it came out of the oven led to those funky slices of potatoes, smothered in cream and melted oozing cheese. Then you take a bite and the gritty texture of the potatoes mixed with the grease from gloppy cheese sliding down your throat. blech!
Talk about remind me of vomit. OH! That's right, the one and ONLY time I ate scalloped potatoes, they hit my stomach and came shooting back up. :-)
For me it's peas. Hate them canned or cooked right out of the pod. You both talked about vomit? That's what I see staring into a vat of pea soup. Green, mushy... (ackkk)! Great morning talk Denise ;)
Kristin - I can so see that pea soup. And yes, I agree. Ack!
Peas, definitely! But also, figs and honey, which I refer to as "bee vomit." I call Fig Newtons "smashed ant cookies."
Girlssentaway -
Laughing my hiney off. "Smashed ant cookies."
Great visual! I am not fond of regular fig newtons, but I do like raspberry ones.
